Hope
A story.
A couple of newlyweds were given a gift. Some say it was a jar. Some say it was a box. Whatever it was, it was locked. It came with a note. The note said: “DO NOT OPEN.” Attached to the note was a key.
The bride’s curiosity got the better of her, and one day, she used the key to open the box. As she raised the lid, out flew all the bad things in the world today – envy, sickness, hate, disease. She slammed the lid closed, but it was too late.
The groom heard his wife weeping, he came running. She opened the lid to show him it was empty. Quickly, before she could slam the lid shut, one tiny bug flew out. He gave her a big buggy smile in thanks for his freedom and flew away. That tiny bug was named Hope. And Hope made all the difference in the world.
You are no stranger to the feeling of pain, and of disappointment. But you need to remember, that hope is always with you. There is always a time for the feeling of pain to turn into a feeling of joy. There is always a way to achieve greatness, and be thankful for what you have achieved.
You may not always see it, you may not even think it’s even present. But one day you will realise that at times when you felt darkness approaching, instead you saw the light.
I hope you see the good in you, the way that I do.
Behind a locked door is your path to success. You may not know where it is. Somewhere out there is a small signpost to your door, that signpost is called Hope. Time to start looking.
